What happens if I do not have a referral on the day of my appointment? If your insurance requires you to have a referral and we do not have one when you arrive, we will not be able to see you. We always recommend patients to be responsible for asking for and bringing their own referral themselves, just in case we have not received it from their primary clinic. We hate to turn patients away, please contact your insurance company and ask if you need a referral in case you are not sure.
